Each of our candles are hand poured fresh to order using top quality beeswax cappings that has been highly refined & purified.
When we make candles, we heat the wax carefully at low temperatures in small batches for only a very short time. This ensures that the integrity of the wax remains intact.
To us, its important that our candles not only are vibrant bright yellow and have a delicious scent of honey BUT they also burn clean. (Cotton wicking clogs easily and it is imperative the beeswax is clean and free from dirt & debris.)
When wax is overheated,especially for longer periods of time, these attributes are ruined.

Many beeswax chandlers use beeswax that isn’t properly refined. They then heat this wax in large quantities for extended periods of time. This causes the beeswax to darken rapidly. As well, the dirt particulate adheres to the wax molecules which in turn results in a poorer quality candle that cannot be burned using a 100% cotton wicking. In this case jute or hemp wicking is used which is more tolerant of dirt in the wax.

Beeswax requires plenty of oxygen when burning so it’s important not to burn your candles in containers that have the sides “closed in” as this restricts the much needed air flow.

A favorite of ours, the 2” pillar is a simple & elegant maintenance-free candle. A perfect companion on a rainy day when you’ve reserved some hours for a favorite book, studying or writing. Light your meditation space, include in your relaxing bath ritual, or simply as you zen in your kitchen. Excellent for short, or long, burning sessions, this candle doesn’t ever require a wick trim. Burn in a draft free space on a heat resistant platter with unrestricted air flow. For best results this candle requires a minimum burn time of 30 - 60 minutes, or more.

This is a beautiful smooth finish, low-maintenance pillar. Burn candles in a draft free space on a heat resistant platter with unrestricted air flow. For best results these 2.5” candles need a minimum burn time and service frequency of 1.5 - 2 hours after which the occasional wick trim might be required.

These pillars are designed for longer burning sessions. For best results this candle requires a minimum burn time and service frequency of 2 - 4 hours or more. Situate burning candle away from drafts. Burn on a heat resistant platter with unrestricted air flow. When the flame is no longer “rounded” and becomes “spiked” this is an indication that the wick will either need to be trimmed to ¼” and or the candle needs the top edge to be “hugged in”. To extinguish, dip wick into molten wax pool and then straighten.

BEESWAX PILLAR CANDLE CARE

When lighting, tilt pillar candle slightly.

Each time pillar candle is lit, allow it to burn until the molten pool of wax has extended to within ¼” of the edge.

For longer burn times the candle side walls should be “hugged in” and the wick trimmed to ¼”. Trim the wick on an angle.

When burning, you can also extend the life of your Beeswax pillar candle by adding pieces of left over wax to the molten pool as it begins to diminish. This way you won’t have to trim the wick as often.

To extinguish the flame, dunk wick into the molten pool of wax, then straighten.

Suggested minimum burn time and service frequency for Your Time™ beeswax pillar candles:

CANDLE SIZE & MINIMUM BURN TIME

2 inch - 1 hr
2.5 inch - 1½ to 2 hrs
3 inch - 2½ to 3 hrs
